Accreditation

Accreditation gives credit where credit is due. Some equate it to a "swoosh" on a pair of shoes or a "feather" in our cap.

Hope Lutheran Academy has gone through a lengthy self-study process, comparing our current practice to a set of standards of excellent schools. The school then hosted a visiting team of independent professionals to come in and verify our self-study findings. After examining all of the evidence and interviewing parents, teachers, and school board, the visiting team recommended our school for "full accreditation." This recommendation was approved in fall 2012 by the WELSSA governing board.

Our small school put in a lot of hard work, and we thank God for this achievement. As we look to the future, we want to improving our school further. Therefore we have created a forward-thinking school improvement that has annual goals that must be met.

What accreditation really means is that when you enroll at Hope, you are enrolling in a school that:
  • is recognized - both within our synod and nationally as a school of excellence
  • self-evaluates - regularly
  • examines performance - of both students and teachers
  • plans for the future - in ways that will improve the school
  • is devoted to our mission - We are here to train students for successful earthly lives and prepare them for eternity in heaven through faith in Jesus Christ!
